There is a large outcropping of rocks on the property, right next to some
really large, old eucalyptus trees. There are metates, cuppings (cupinos),
and grinding holes here. There is a large arrow etched into the rock, and a
place where a guest (who worked as an archealogist at Diamond Valley
Lake)told me the Indians used to cook their meat in a very large hole
between the rocks. If you look, you can see the black soot from the fires.
Someone left a heartfelt letter torn to bits at the base of these rocks, I put it
back together, and retyped it for others to see. I hope you enjoy it as I did.
All in all it is a beautiful place to live, and the red hawks think so too, as they
have a nest in the trees above.
